The boards normally feature small logos printed and repeated making a regular, evenly spaced and distributed pattern. For that reason these types of media backdrops or press boards have become known as step and repeat media boards. These can be seen during interviews after most football matches.

Stage props printing for theatrical events

We have accomplished some amazing stage props for theatrical productions. If you need any kind of stage props for your show or movie background (scenography), we can print any background boards/panels and cut them to any shape you may require. So far we have produced props such as buildings, city landscapes, trees and nature landscapes as well as people and characters. In cases where the maximum size of a sheet is smaller than your background we can split your artwork allowing you to position and piece it together on your stage.

What material is best for me?

There are at least a few different board types we could use for printing backdrops. However, we recommend either 5mm foamex or 5mm foam centred board as the best options. You will find them listed in the PRICES TAB above. Foam Core boards are very light, easy to move around and cheaper but they are also relatively fragile. Foamex is a hard, rigid and relatively heavy material and therefore recommended for regular or repeated use (especially for stands with head holes) to minimalize accidental damage.  

What material do you recommend for freestanding custom backdrops?

For using your stand repeatedly on many occasions we recommend 5mm foamex. Foamex is harder and more rigid material and is also waterproof. For short term use or where the low weight is important we recommend foam centred board. Foam board is cheaper and provides very similar print finish as foamex but it is much lighter and consequently more fragile than foamex stand.

How do you print your backdrop stands?

All boards are normally printed direct to the board on our flat bed printers using UV inks.
