We were recently contacted by Marcus Tisson, founder of the campaign ‘Don’t Suffer in Silence’, ahead of their upcoming Black Tie Gala. Marcus and his team are working tirelessly to raise awareness for those suffering from and affected by mental health.
It was an absolute pleasure to offer our support for the event, and the pics featuring our step and repeat board look fantastic. There are a lot of great organisations out there doing an amazing job, helping people on the front lines and we wanted to take a moment to honour the work that DSIS are doing.
Here’s what Marcus had to say, “My mother tragically took her own life on 21st August 2016 at Mile End Underground Station after suffering years of depression. A month after this, my father passed away having suffered from mental health issues for pretty much all of my adult life.

The heart-breaking news of my mother’s passing came as a major shock to my family, as it wasn't known to any of us that she was going through the nightmare of depression alone.

Since my mother passed away, it has been brought to my attention that she was by no means the only person battling this illness alone and has inspired my campaign "Don't Suffer in Silence".

My aim is to help other people going through depression and mental health by raising awareness and hopefully help prevent similar cases from materialising in the future.  The board looks amazing, I don't think you understand how much this means. I will be doing lots of events so this will be used a lot, thank you so much.”

You can find out more about DSIS on their Facebook page, and if you’re interested in logo backdrop boards for your event we’d love to hear from you.
